I'm a Portland-based copywriter with a story that's comically paradoxical. ๐คนโโ๏ธ
One day I'll write a book, but here's the gist for now: I grew up in Kentucky and went to school in Ohio. Iโve got a Jewish family and a Catholic education. I'm an only child with two sisters. (I can explain.) Oh yeah, and I'm a proud Zillennial. ๐ค
Here's why that matters: In my work, I've grown to feel secure with the gray area because my personal world has never been black or white. In rooms with competing POVs, I'm there with my hand raised, saying "yes, and..." because I've always been adept at holding multiple perspectives. And because I was born in the mid-90s (and spend way too much time on TikTok), I know what matters to Gen Z and Millennials *and* how to speak their language. This not only influences my creative, but has also helped me be a generational bridge at work.
5+ years of agency, in-house, and freelance experience have only brought more paradox, but I love it. I've been fortunate to be the lead writer for a popular children's brand as a childless person myself, and I've written a ton of carnivorous content for ConAgra Foods as a former vegan. It brings me great joy to write compelling copy that transcends my lived experience while making others feel seen and heard in theirs. (Although, I'm always looking for opportunities to write about the things I love, too.) ๐ ๐โโ๏ธ ๐ ๐ต
